About theAWEsomeWEB

The Augmented Web is on its way. The web has become a lot more than just pages of information. Now modern mobile web browsers can access your location, your camera and so much more. These Augmented Web Experiences (AWE) turn the old web upside down.

theAWEsomeWEB makes it easy to transform your website by just adding a single line of javascript. This adds this doodat to the side of your pages and people simply click or tap it to peel back the "old" web and uncover theAWEsomeWEB beneath.

Of course theAWEsomeWEB lets you easily present your location based content using maps. But now you can also overlay it onto the real world around you using your device's camera. Your website can now connect people to the real world through their mobile devices. You can open video calls, live data feeds or almost anything else you can imagine.

This blends traditional apps with AR and rich streaming media all within the mobile web browser.

theAWEsomeWEB lets you create apps that you can really connect with. Support for this is starting to appear in mainstream web browsers right now. And we have a fully working javascript toolkit that we'll soon be releasing as an Open Source project. It will automatically detect if your browser is AWE-some and will show you the relevant content. You can think of this toolkit as the jquery for the Augmented Web.

We hope you're as excited by this new vision for AR as we are and we think this can really help bring AR to the biggest audience of all - the web!

Stay tuned... this is really just the beginning!
